The Wolf Pack Tattoo

The cool folks over at twifans.com had a friend come up with this amazingly close replica composite of the tattoo Jake and the other members of the pack sport in the upcoming New Moon film.

Free-handing/Drawing

Have an artistic friend? Have them draw the image free hand right onto your arm with body paint, a dark eye liner (liquid would probably be best), or brown henna (also called: mehndi) paint.

• The henna will be semi-permanent, so make sure to be careful! **BEWARE OF BLACK HENNA - Do your research!**

Making a STAMP

•Print full size black/white image from twifans.com on a clear transparency sheet (found at office supply stores)
•Computer ink on transparency will still be wet after printing - Place right on the skin***
•This should look like a stamp of the image and give you a decent outline to then fill in the dark sections
•Fill in with henna (also called: mehndi), body paint, or non-toxic marker
•Henna will last longer and not smear when dry.

***Most computer ink is non-toxic, but again, attempt this at your own risk***

STAMP (minus the computer ink)

•Print full size black/white image from twifans.com on a clear transparency sheet (found at office supply stores)
•Let the ink dry, then paint the henna or body paint onto the image on top of the dark sections
•Stamp onto the skin. (This process might make the detail blurry or squished looking though)

Making a STENCIL (probably safest & easiest)

If placing computer ink on your skin doesn’t sound fun, then print the full size black and white image from twifans.com on the transparency or a plain normal sheet of paper, let the ink dry on the paper. The using a craft scalpel or scissors, cut out the BLACK section. Then use it as a stencil against your arm and fill in with henna, body paint, or what the heck ...magic marker? haha!

This artist’s rendition is over blue eyes. This look always looks best over darker eyes.

NOTE: The only reason we’d recommend getting this expensive pair of honey contacts from the above listed would be for very light eyed people. The above contacts all blend with eye color, whereas this one covers ALL color.

Wigs are a great way to top off a costume! Don’t be afraid to cut or re-style them. Just be gentle and patient. Most wigs are made of cheap materials and can only withstand a little “torture”. Brush softly, curl quickly on low heat, and cut slowly - it won’t grow back!

Note: Don’t be afraid to use women’s wigs for a male character’s look - just keep in mind that most female wigs will be smaller fitting than male wigs.
